Our Academy welcomes players of all ages, if our teams are full we can provide Coaching at weekends and through the week, with the aim of selecting Academy players when squads are short of numbers.
If players in our Academy show potential in training they may be selected for a team during our transfer window in December and June.
The Academy's biggest plus are the coaches we have nurturing the 4, 5 and 6 year old's, teaching them basic skills using creative games then progressing into more advanced and technical ball work.
When an Academy player reaches year three, they will play regular matches in the under 8's team.
Our Academy training sessions for U5s, U6s and U7s are at Fun4All on a Tuesday evening during the winter months (5.15pm- 6.45pm), Tuesday evenings (5.30pm-7pm) during the Spring and Summer months at Macclesfield Rugby Club and also Saturday mornings, all season, at the Rugby Club 10am-12 noon.
U8s and above will play at the Rugby Club for both sessions.
