Eagle tournament

The panthers travelled to warrington to play in the eagle tournament today , sat 17th july. On arriving we got the match programe and surprise surprise the only too names we knew were croxteth and st helens and guess what they were in our group and with only 2 going through our chances of getting out of the group looked slim. we started against urmston and drew 0 0 a scrappy game, next up croxteth and the lads were great ,sean hitting the bar .we more than matched them and drew 0 0 . next st helens again a good game and another 0 0 , this left us needing to win our last 3 games to stand a chance of going through. next east leigh lions the lads winning 2 0 euan and an own goal, next winwick sean getting his first goal in a panthers shirt with a good finish Last up eagle C and a 2 0 win callum and euan scoring. After the 6 games we were 2nd behind croxteh and managed to finish above st helens and progress to the quater final this was a great effort from the lads the first time we have ever finished above st helens. so to the quater final and haygarth united we lost 1 0 and to say that this was unfair is the understatment of the year we were the best team and they scored from a corner after harry was battered to the floor how the ref didnt see it was amazing.But this was a great tournament performance from the boys are best by far this summer , it was nice to see joel back to his best today.Sean looks to have settled stright away and it looks like goals will come more freely now WELL DONE TO U ALL TODAY. Unicorn next week if we play like we did today we have every chance of winning .
