The Scorpions recorded a 4-0 win in very blustery conditions at Chapel this morning. The lads got off to a fast start playing some fine football into the wind. Within the first 10 minutes Joe and Hayden had scored to give us a 2-0 lead. Despite the tacky pitch the football kept flowing and James Allan provided two good finishes, the second from a great cross by George, to give us a deserved 4-0 half time lead. As much as the lads had played as a team in the first half they did anything but in the second with the winds at their back. The nett result of this was a 0-0 second half with very few chances created as we kept trying to dribble our way through the midfield. To be fair on Chapel they battled all the way and can be pleased with their second half performance. In fact they would have scored if it wasn’t for the moat protecting Aled’s goal!
Anyway, a win is a win, but the lads need to learn the lesson from this match and get back to playing as a team next week.
